We went to the Kamas Rodeo tonight!! The cowboys weren't that great but it was super fun. Once the rodeo was over we started to leave the bleachers but they turned the lights off for the fireworks and rather than fall through the rickety slats, we sat back down and watched the show. It was all very "small potatoes" but that's why I liked it.
An exchange I had with Ryan today reminded me I haven't posted for a while. He was laying in my arms after his nap and I was whispering to him. He started copying me and so I took the opportunity to teach him about having a church voice (He's ultra wiggly theses days). I said, "We whisper at church". He then told me, "Ah temple". We took the kids to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open-house Monday for FHE. It couldn't be more eventful... Ryan tried to escape (loudly) at every turn and Jackson wet his pants. Yah, it was great. It actually was. The temple is one of the most beautiful I've seen and from it you can see 2 other temples in the valley and almost a third. One of the first places on the tour is the baptismal font. We were looking at it through the huge glass windows surrounding it when Jackson started doing a funny dance and said, "Mom, I feel all tingly and warm inside." I asked him where the tingles were and he said they started in his feet and went all the way up to his heart. I looked at Scott and I said to J-Boy, "Do you think it's the Spirit?" and he said, "Oh yah, Mom. It is." Even with out being dedicated, the Spirit of the Lord is there. It was great.

Can you say... BATH?
So... We were getting ready for church last week and in walks this little boy with a super sheepish look on his face. Can you tell why? Perhaps a closer look?
Something has dribbled down his tummy, you say? IT'S SYRUP!! One of the big kids was cleaning the breakfast dishes and hadn't cleared the table. There was syrup on his blanket, on the wall, on the table and chairs, and seeing into the tile. Yipee!!

Happy Birthday Ashlyn!!
Ashlyn has finally reached double digits! Like my dad told me when I turned 10, "There's no turning back now!" She went to Lake Powell with a fun family in our ward on Sunday and she was gone on her birthday. They had cell service on their houseboat and she called us so we could wish her a happy birthday. While she was gone, we took the opportunity to decorate her room as a HUGE surprise!! I can't wait for her to see it!! These pics are the final product. The bed and armoire are the guest room furniture from our Mesa house and the rest is repurposed or new. SHE'S GOING TO LOVE IT!!
p.s. SHE DID!!

Cannon's First Scout Camp- before

UGG! Is he prepared? Is he going to survive the hike? Is his pack too heavy? Did he bring enough/ too much? Will he have fun? Is he going to miss me? What if he gets blisters? Does he have enough to eat? Will he be cold at night? Is his pack to big? Should he have kept in his fleece pants? Does he know enough? Will he be whiney on the hike? Can he handle it? Will he get a headache? Will he drink enough water? Will he make good choices? Will he be smart? ...probably not
