Anyway, a few things have changed, a few have stayed the same since my last post. The afore mentioned yard.... the same- still a huge pile of concrete in the drive way, dirt piles in the yard and lots and lots of comments from people in the neighborhood. 'Nuff said.
That out of the way, Scott was put in the Bishopric last November. He's the first counselor and I think we are handling it a little better than we did the first time. The kids are older and I have dish tv to keep me company when he's not around. It's a little strange for him doing this job in the ward he grew up in, but it's also rewarding seeing the true goodness of the folks here. That's why we moved back.
Cannon turned 12 in December. He was so excited to become a Deacon and he's fulfilling his responsibilities well. He has decided to maybe try skiing instead of snowboarding this winter- so glad he bought a snowboard last year...
Ashlyn is turning into such a beautiful young lady! She is taking a sewing class at The Finishing School and even made me the cutest apron for Christmas. She's working on a quilt now.
Jackson is finally getting his teeth in. He's had no front teeth for so long. He's kind of self conscious about them though. He knows they are bigger than his other teeth and he worries... oh, face it, he worries about everything. He's such an anxious little guy, but the best snuggler you'll ever find!
Ryan, Ryan, Ryan... he's a challenge. He's in that baby, big boy transition stage and it's killing me!! He's so independent and thinks he can walk to grandma's by himself, without telling me. Four times, neighbors and strangers have brought him back home because they found him wandering the neighborhood. It amazes me though that he insists on walking around the block instead of through the convenient gate we put in the fence last year! He's also trying (ok, I'm trying) to make the transition between the crib and big boy bed. He sleeps fine at night (until about 5:30am) but he will not settle down in the afternoon at all! He cries and hangs on my legs from about 2 til bedtime (which comes earlier and earlier). I'm contemplating putting the crib back up...
As for me, I'm just trying to keep my head above water. It's not that life is so busy, because by most standards, it's not. I just need a little peace once in a while and now that Ry Ry doesn't nap, there is none. It's all good though. I am looking forward to a few trips Scott and I have planned this year and a couple of projects I want to take on. Life is coming together and I can't complain.
